Erica Kotick LCPC
I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. I have been practicing in the mental and behavioral health field since 2013. While I see the benefit of utilizing an eclectic therapeutic approach, my favorite tools and ideas come from Person Centered Counseling, Cognitive Behavioral Theory, Attachment Theory, and Solution Focused Techniques. I believe that most of our challenges come from painful past experiences that lead to the development of maladaptive thoughts and behaviors.
Further, I believe that mental health is similar to one's physical health. Just as we suffer physically, so can we suffer psychologically and emotionally. Mental health is not the same as mental illness. We can all use someone to talk to.
